Can anyone tell me where this line comes from? Any literature gurus out there want to explain its meaning?
In short, it means covering all kinds of subjects, which is what this post is doing. There are just a few updates I wanted to give you, but wanted to include them all in one post.
First, we finally named the dog! In honor of our current state of residence: GEORGIA. Thank you, everyone for your name ideas. My husband and I read and considered each and every one. Nothing seemed just right, though, so until yesterday we just called her "Puppy". It's rather hard to switch over to her new name now, but I'm working on it. Just in case you didn't see a picture of her before, here she is:
Second, my dining room chair slipcovers are finished!!! Seriously, I thought I would never be done with these. My dining room table is now cleared of the sewing machine, the fabric and pins are put away, and I can simply relax a bit more. I'm not ready to give a full reveal, but here's a sneak peek:
Third: Thanks for all of the comments and suggestions about the dining room lighting. I've decided to go with the burlap and started cutting some of that out today.
It's been difficult for me, but I've been holding off on my list of other projects until the slipcovers were complete. Now that they're done, I get to move on!
Fourth: I'll be posting a couple more cherry recipes today and tomorrow, so if you haven't done so already, go BUY SOME CHERRIES!! They are in season now, and even though they're still a bit expensive, trust me you won't be disappointed at the flavor they add to even main dishes.
Off to cook dinner now with my 2 1/2 year old who for some reason thinks that nap time is only one hour long this week!!
"Georgia" is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo I've always had in the back of my mind to one day recover our dining room chairs...you interested?! :) I think Georgia is a great name, and a constant memory you'll take with you wherever you go next!
ReplyDeleteThrough the Looking Glass! I read that book this winter and thought it was strange.
ReplyDeleteGeorgia is a perfect name! I actually thought about that but never suggested it because I didn't know if you would like it or not. She is SO cute!
I'm so glad you went with the burlap!
ReplyDeleteHoly moly that dog is precious. Congrats on the chairs!! I'm sure that's a huge relief. Can't wait to see them!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of Georgia and also the sneak peak of your chairs! Can't wait to see both in person, but of course seeing all the rest of you is what we're really waiting for!
ReplyDeleteLove the name- will you call her Georgia or Georgie or George?? :) The chairs look like they're awesome; can't wait to see the whole deal. Is that line also in the poem The Walrus and the Carpenter?
